1920s Necklaces Vintage Native American, Taxco, Ethnographic/Cultural

Spectacular 1940s old pawn squash blossom necklace straight from a southwestern source. Unmarked as are most pre-1960s pieces. The beads are substantial in appearance with wonderful details, but it is a wearable weight. It is set on an older thicker mesh style chain with a transferable naja. Hand worked center seam. In the 1930s they started using sheets instead of pesos and coin silver. This piece’s beads are a good weight, but possibly not coin silver. Safely dates in style to the 40s-50s. Unmarked. The turquoise is a wonderful color blue. I cannot say enough about the design and sizing. Naja measures 3″ W X 2.5″ L.
