Beautifully made iconic piece by Countess Cis Zoltowska, circa 1950s-1960s. The colors and intricate construction are everything you look for in a piece from Cis. Unmarked, but confirmed via construction and documentation. Probably made during her French period. A very similar one is featured in Barbara Berger’s Fashion Jewelry text. The pink, green, and yellow stones are seen in other pieces. Cis was born Maria and grew up as Austro-Hungarian nobility. In the 50s she moved to Paris and founded her company. She went on to produce pieces for the couturiers like Balenciaga. In the 1960s, she moved to the United States where her pieces where also sold. The larger chain underneath soldered stones and the clasp as well as painted stones are all hallmarks. Good condition.
