William de Lillo was a major vintage fashion jewelry designer from Belgium who immigrated to the Unites States. His jewelry was often one of a kind, couture, runway pieces, or limited edition. He worked with many exclusive clients producing such pieces. Those patrons include Elizabeth Taylor. During the 1950s he worked for Cartier, Harry Winston, and Tiffany. In 1967 he started the House of de Lillo with Robert F. Clark. Clark had formally designed for Miriam Haskell. While living in France the 1970s they continued to produce jewelry for fashion houses like Yves Saint Laurent and Schiaparelli. William de Lillo (deceased) and Robert Clark also did a large collection of men’s jewelry/accessories. Rare pieces include embellished pieces of clothing.
